The students of Earth to Sky Calculus launched this special wolf pendant to the stratosphere on Sept. 10, 2020, on board a high-altitude cosmic ray balloon. Flying through the smokey plume of the massive Creek Fire burning many miles away in the Sierra National Forest, the payload of radiation sensors (and lupine jewelry) traveled 118,800 feet above Earth's surface. After the balloon exploded (as planned), the payload parachuted back to Earth, landing on Table Mountain overlooking Bishop, CA.

Each pendant comes with a greeting card showing the wolf in flight and describing its journey to the edge of space and back again.
