On Jan. 26th, the students of Earth to Sky Calculus launched the pair to the stratosphere onboard a cosmic ray research balloon. At the apex of the flight, they floated 111,535 feet above the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains of central California, experiencing temperatures as low as -63 C.
