If you liked the Rainbow Dragonfly Pendant, you'll love the matching earrings. On July 7, 2026, the students of Earth to Sky Calculus launched them to the stratosphere onboard  a cosmic ray research balloon.
 
Made of stained glass with a sterling silver exoskeleton, each has a wingspan of 0.8 inches and dangles from a matching sterling silver clasp.
 
The earrings floated through the stratosphere for almost 3 hours, while sensors inside the payload gathered radiation data for the students' monitoring program. The flight's peak altitude was 110,555 feet.  After the balloon exploded (as planned), the payload parachuted back to Earth, landing in the Inyo Mountains near Bishop, CA.
