Are you looking for a far-out Valentine's gift? Consider "Love is in the Air". This hand-painted Snoopy figurine flew to the stratosphere on Jan. 30, 2024, onboard an Earth to Sky Calculus cosmic ray research balloon.

"Love is in the Air" combines classic Peanuts characters with folk art designs by award-winning artist Jim Shore.  Intricate styling and attention to detail make the figurine a fantastic gift for any romantic occasion. It comes with a gift card showing Snoopy at the edge of space and telling the story of the balloon flight.
During the balloon flight, Snoopy soared to an altitude of 112,505 feet, experiencing temperatures as low as -58 C with air pressures less than 0.3% of sea level. After two hours in the stratosphere, the balloon popped (as planned) and the payload parachuted back to Earth, landing in Eureka Valley on the verge of Death Valley National Park. Snoopy had a wild ride, and the students got great data for their atmospheric radiation monitoring program.

The figurine measures 2. 13" L (5. 41 cm) x 3. 75" W (9. 53 cm) x 7. 5" H (19. 05cm)
