It's a great gift for hungry fans of Star Wars: The Jabba the Hutt Soup Bowl.  On Nov. 10, 2024, it flew to the stratosphere onboard a cosmic ray research balloon.
 
This extra-large ceramic handled-bowl holds 26 oz. of piping hot liquid--perfect for a Jabba-sized helping of soup, coffee, or hot chocolate.
 
At the apex of the flight, Jabba floated 107,773 feet above the Sierra Nevada mountains of central California. For 3 hours, radiation sensors inside the payload gathered data for a student cosmic ray monitoring project. After the balloon exploded (as planned), the payload parachuted back to Earth, landing in the White Mountains wilderness near the Nevada-California border.
 
The bowl comes with a greeting card showing Jabba in flight, and certifying that the item traveled to the edge of space and back again.
