What would Einstein think!?

On June 8, 2019, the students of Earth to Sky Calculus launched a cosmic ray balloon to the stratosphere. This Albert Einstein bobblehead went along for the ride. Albert contemplated the curve of the Earth for almost 3 hours as the balloon ascended 111,222 feet above the Sierra Nevada Mountains of central California. After the balloon exploded (as planned) the payload parachuted back to Earth, landing in Eureka Valley on the outskirts of Death Valley National Park. The students got great cosmic ray data, and the bobblehead had a wild ride!

Albert comes with a unique gift card showing the great physicist floating at the top of Earth’s atmosphere. The interior of the card tells the story of the flight and confirms that this item has been to the edge of space and back again.
